Hi,
I'm actually looking for a company that will help me in obtaining 457 visa.
I have 4 years of working experience as Personnel Officer and i am even willing to pay all visa expenses.

Hi!
I've got the same problem. As I asked my AUS embassy in Poland (I'm from Poland), they told me that the only possibility to get 457 visa is to get a job first. How can I get a job when I'm at the end of the world???
I've got 8 years of experience (mainly in administration & customer service) and not looking for job in big city (actually it could be anywhere except the desert). |

Hi
I,m also having the same problem I work in payroll/ HR and took to sending my C.V to almost every relevent employer I could find in the Australian yellow pages and although I got some nice replies I'm still unable to find work and i'm not being fussy about where it is, pay or anything, what I haven't been able to find is any actual recruitment agencies that deal with sponsorship employers, I,m almost at the point of giving up as I don't know where else to try |

The main issue from an employer's point of view is that the position must be such that it needs to be filled from an overseas applicant - i.e. either nobody in Australia can fulfill the functions of the position and/or nobody wants to do it.
The position must be advertised locally (in Australia) for a set period, before declaring that the position requires to be filled from other sources.
Falsely declaring that no local people are suitable can lead o serious penalties for the employer.
You best chance therefore is to apply for positions which require specific skills not readily available in the Australian market - eg Language requirements, special engineering, technical or medical skills etc.
Cheers,

Hi,
I have over 13 years of experience in IT. Does anyone know of placement agencies or recruitment firms that can help me secure job while I am in USA. Once I have valid job offer, I can relocate in 4 weeks time.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

| RE: 457 Sponsorship. Very few agencies can now sponsor people in Oz as they have to obtain an on-hire labour agreement from the government (not easy to do). Try Lester Associates - www.lester.com.au |
