Gumtree does not host photos.

It is made clear in the FAQ that if you want to put a photo up anywhere (except in the actual ads, obviously!) that you have to have it on the web already.

This is really quite simple:

1. Decide which photos you would like to place in responses.
   
2. 
   
   1. Join an online photo hosting site. See end of post for information on How to do this.
      
   2. If you connect through an ISP then you will have some space available on their server, and a facility to upload the photos to them.
      
   3. If you have your own webserver... you should be slapped in the back of the head for needing to look at this tutorial
      
   
   
3. Upload your photos to the chosen hosting facility. NB. Keep note of the full* URL of your photos. (Hint: If you have a fair few to choose from then create a text file on your computer. List each photo and it's full URL. Later you can just copy and paste the URL.)
   
4. Answer the ads you wish to answer...and if they have "must reply with photos" just add the URL of the photo(s) that you wish to show them.
