I would like to thank you all for providing us with your feedback and I am pleased to inform you that after looking into all of the user feedback surrounding pets, we have now amended our policies to allow English Staffordshire Terrier breeds to be advertised.

We base our decisions and policies on industry/governing authority guidelines and user feedback which highlights the fact that we need to look closer on some rules and reconsider our approach. Your feedback and opinions are very important to us and I would love to hear any further suggestions you may have.

You didn't allow that before?

I have seen heaps of ads for Staffies.
why didn't you allow the --- of English Staffies before?

how can you allow a bred to be listed that dosnt even exist
English Setter
English Springer Spaniel
English Toy Terrier
Eurasier are the only breeds in australia that begin with E
there correct bred is Staffordshire Bull Terrier
and
American Staffordshire Terrier
is nothing more than a pitbull with papers
perhaps if you should do some research .
extremly disspointed in this site and i certainly wouldnt by a dog from here .you never know what you could be buying.

.....TOTALLY agree with what you're saying here 'ban byb'. Even a 2-minute check of Wiki would've told 'Miss Mullins' that there's ain't no such dawg!

.....I'd even go as far as to say that Gumtree should delete this entire "dog" category totally because of (judging by past debacles involving buying and selling of alleged pure breds -- and even X-breeds in some cases) the complicated technical and legal ramifications of these transactions.

BUT..... at the end of the day, Gumtree simply DON'T care one way or the other! Unfortunate, but more than obvious from their past performance on the interweb!

.....I'd also be interested to see precisely WHICH "industry/governing authority guidelines" Gumtree bases their "decisions and policies" on.

Let’s not split hairs, we all know exactly what was meant by “English Staffy”. I imagine the term was used to differentiate the beautiful Staffordshire Bull Terrier from the other dog that has stolen its name.

My question is - why wasn't it allowed to be sold here in the first place?
