Okay, so I've sent money to someone about 2 weeks ago for tickets to a show. He said he'd put them in the post straight away. 2 weeks later and nothing has arrived. Phone is switched off and not answering emails. I have his name and bank details, is there anything I can do about this? Cheers!

Contact his bank but I'm afraid you've lost the money and gained a valuable experience. Best wishes

Do you have his address? You could start a civil claim (which is what the police would tell you to do, I imagine).

You'll have to ask your bank for advice, but they'll no doubt say it's non of their business why people transfer money between accounts.

Hi sorry but you have clearly been scammed. If you purchased the tickets through ebay you should be covered by buyer protection as they will reimburse you. If it's through here then i am not sure. Contact the bank although they probably won't do anything otherwise contact the police.

And make sure you warn others!! Who knows how many others he has done this to or will do this to. Razz

I just got scammed too.
You'll find other scam forums in the community section of gumtree.
I also put up a post in every state to warn others.
