expiry time of "promote ad"

does anyone know when ad is expired after being promoted? e.g. top ad for 7 days, does it expire exactly 24hrs x 7days after i post my ad? or does time zone has anything to do with this? if yes, which time zone does gum3 use? 'cause when i posted my ad at 10pm sydney time on 1/10/2009, the ad says "Date listed: 2/10/2009"

Yeah, I was thinking the Gumtree time seems to be out of sync. I'm gonna post this at exactly 0806 on 5/11 and see what time stamp it puts on the post.

Gumtree obviously haven't reset their server time for daylight savings time!

You'll need to go to your profile and manually set it to GMT+11HRS (if you're on the Eastern Australian coast), rather than the GMT+10 that Gumtree has it set to.

Mine should show 0812 now.

.....seems that every time you log out, Gumtree resets the default time incorrectly. Guess we just have to remember that it's an hour out!
