Gumtree Site Issues

As many of you may have noticed, Gumtree Australia was down on Thursday, 23rd April. This was due to technical difficulties that we were experiencing. Following this problem, ads may have been taking a bit longer to go live on the site but we are happy to say that this problem has now been fixed and Gumtree is up and running again.

Why is there no background anymore?
Also, most of the pics come up as boxes with the little red crosses in them.

Is the site still under construction?

hey wh cant i recive any mail from mellbourne gumtree , i did rece post by people in relation to my add who were rude then i sent some back dont know what went on there now when i see sent replies 6 i check yahooand get nothing i have emailed melbourne gumtree but havent heard anything offthem yet h,mmmmmmmmm as to why i cant recive i tried sending a mes tomyself and that didnt work either....

Hi both my girlfriend and I get a blank page after we click a category to post an ad in. No reply from customer help/service.

It's really frustrating! Other people still seem to be posting fine...

What has Apple done to you? - Plus, there is NO such mention in posting rules BARRING APPLE PRODUCTS! This sounds TOTALLY SUSPECT! Shame on you guys for going outside of your own advertised rules and pissing off people and young kids trying to sell their stuff!

Don't expect gumtree to be any help when their site has a hiccup and decides to lock you out. I had registered and posted some ads and then they had a problem. Since then I was unable to log in to amend the ads because they said that I was not registered. I sent numerous requests for them to fix the problem. I did not receive any assistance and have had to re-register but now cannot amend my ads.

I find it funny that gumtree have been ignoring my emails for weeks but when I posted my previous post, suddenly the next morning I have a reply. Lets see if I get it fixed. Stay tuned.

I have posted my first top add and it showed up for a day or so and today I have been checking the site frequently (every 15 minutes for about 2 hours) and the only place it can be seen is the place I originally posted it (somewhere on page 3 at the moment).
What is going on with that? I don't have a problem with the adds being rotated so everybody gets a turn.
But it not showing up at all is no good.
What am I paying for?

Does anyone know how long ads stay live for? I posted 3 ads about a week ago and they are no longer advertised and I cant seem to find them anywhere in "My Gumtree"? I didnt even get an email or notice from Gumtree notifying me that my ads are no longer live.

Can someone help?

Hi there,

Any one else having issues with the edit option? I have emailed help and got no response. I need to update my ad bur it won't let me. It seems to think that I am posting a new version of the same ad. Grrrrr

I haven't had any of the problems discussed here. Gumtree has worked evry time, I've had great responses, and love it. Perhaps it's just Perth which works so well?

hi, i posted an ad yesterday then after about 5 hrs i couldnt see it when i searched. so i deleted the ad and placed it again last night. i still cant find it. its in my gumtree with my other ad (which works fine)
so why cant i find this one what have i done wrong?

the number is 152726339 and its for sunglasses, 20/20 odyssey eyedrops.

i put it in the stuff for --- > other category.
